14cm tall by 12cm wide.
This piece is apart of my Auybowen collection made during my residency at DMU, where I explored how the form of an object impacts the design by applying the same design to a variety of different shapes in a range of colours. Incalmo is the process in which two seperated bubbles of glass are joined together while hot, which can be seen where the colour meets the clear . The white parts of the design is created by using stringers. Stringers are thin threads of glass pulled from a larger piece of coloured glass. Sandblasting creates a matte finish to the surface colour.
