This piece is reduced due to small imperfections, either because it the glass became contaminated during the making process causing small marks or bubbles on the surface of the glass. All pieces made during the final year on my degree are reduced to make room for new pieces.
This work was my final year degree show collection, it is inspired by a trip to Sri Lanka, where I was mesmerised by my surroundings. My designs originate from a fascination with local food, Tuk-Tuks and the stacks of ceramic tiles I encountered on the trip. I focused on elements of colour and stacking forms to design and make glass tableware. The Incalmo glass technique allows each plate design to be visible whilst they are stacked.
If you see a piece you like but want it in a different colour, please email me as I am happy to commission a piece based on your preferences.
