This piece is reduced due to containing a piece of contamination within the glass, which can be seen in the final photograph.
19cm tall by 19cm wide.
This piece is apart of my Auybowen collection made during my residency at DMU, where I explored how the form of an object impacted the design by applying the same design to a variety of different shapes in a range of colours. Incalmo is the process in which two seperated bubbles of glass are joined together while hot, which can be seen where the colour meets the clear . The white part of the design is created by using stringers. Stringers are thin threads of glass pulled from a larger piece of coloured glass.
